Hi,
ClickBank is one of the reputed affiliate network. Usually, only advertisers or merchants are charged to sign-up with these networks.

For a one time set up fee of $49.90, Clickbank is definitely worth it. I had my first account in november last year and have been making consistent income since then. 90% of my sales came from clickbank the first two months. Their support is 1st class. Every enquiry was answered to my satisfaction. It really helped me to start out. But of course need I say you must have a good product to sell first. Do your research. Good luck.

Clickbank
Seems to me the <$50 to get a merchant account w/ CB is a good investment. When you consider that 30,000 products are active at any given time, this is a good metric on why CB is the 800 lb. gorilla in the room. Considering most of the keyword tools I use all ping the CB network to provide me with stats on gravity, commercial intent and other useful metrics, that CB has major mind share with most of us affiliates. CJ, Hydra and pepperjam aren't too bad either.

If you are referring to clickbank's hoplink ads, yes of course you can. You will be paid a referral fee/commission just like any other affiliate programme. Not so much like adsense where you are being paid by per click.

I dont understand, are you an affiliate or a merchant?
Because I payed nothing 2 years ago when I signed up for an affiliate account with Clickbank.
Maybe its new move by clickbank to curb non converting affiliates registration.
If you are serious about making money from affiliate marketing then I will agree that they are worth paying for otherwise you will just end up not been able to generate any sale and losing your money.
But there are equally other good affiliate marketing sites such as Commission Junction, Shareasale, Pepperjam network, etc that are free to join and I would advise you to start with those instead of paying to join Clickbank.

No it doesn't! I refer to Click Bank as "Broke Bank" It would be more accurate. Now a days the competition is fierce, and getting worse. It is easier to make money pumping gas.
The problem is the industry is evolving constantly and with every year that passes a new product or tool that is being used, makes it faster for people to get a head of their competition, (well so are the other guys, right?). These products power up our sites with page rank, popularity and all that good stuff, and of course they cost. As our years pass this starts to compound into a overly competitive area for the person who wants to start out, because this will take a long time time for him or her (niche depending) to be at competing stage in the game. Pretty soon in we will look back at these days and say, remember when it was so easy to have your own website.
We even have niche software, so were does that leave you? Good Luck!
