Optimize Own Website For Bing?

Hi,

You Want To Optimize And Indexing Your Website For Bing,You Need Following Things.

1) Optimize Metatag,Content,Keywords.

2) Submit your site at Bing bing.com/webmaster/

3) Generate Sitemap And Submit To Bing.

4) Generate Backlink From Bing And Other Websites.

What's the point of submitting the site to Bing? Shouldn't it be picked up naturally? At least that's my experience. Seems like a waste of time.

Thanks for the sitemap suggestion. I've only submitted that to Google, but will now do it to bing also.

As to submitting your url to Bing, not sure if that's 100% needed as previously mentioned by LiquidGraph

Well I believe if you are indexed in google you get eventually picked up by others as well .

I just read a blog (i'm sorry i forgot the link) but anyway in that blog it stated that when you never optimized to bing you will miss atleast 10 to 20% of traffic. Is that true?
