Just a few notes:
1. Bing prefers older websites, a fact that doesn't help if you're starting up. Maybe consider buying some domains for the age factor.
2. Stuff keywords into your title tags, on every single page. Bing likes this.
3. Make sure your pages have at least 300 words of text.
4. Outbound links seem to play no debilitating role right now, so enjoy it while it lasts.
5. Backlinks, backlinks, backlinks.
There are probably more tips out there. Let's see them pour in.

The problem with blog commenting is most of the blogs seems to use NoFollow now.
I don't really optimize for Bing, I just optimize for Google and then hopefully that will work with Bing also.

Some SEO Bing tips and techniques:
- It is very important that your page title contains the key words that would summarize the contents of your page
- Bing favors websites with older domains. Essentially, the earlier you register/create your domain, the better Bing will rank you website. So if you are looking into developing a new website, it would be best to purchase or use an older domain.
- Bing appears to give pages with 300 – 500 words with higher rankings. Unlike Google, Yahoo, or Cuil, Bing seems to focus more on the relevance of the page title to the contents on the page.
- It is important to build as many back links to your website as possible. However, a good link is sometimes better than 100 regular links and a bad link will actually lower your rankings. So be sure that the links to your page are strongly related to your contents.
- Is best to keep all your URLs static and simple. A static URL is easier to bookmark and easier to index.

Most of the tips appear to work well with Google also. It was interesting to see Bing likes more text than Google. I can see the value of optimising a site for Bing rather than Google especially if the site has global appeal as the competition should be less on Bing than Google for certain search terms. Thanks for the tips!

Bing appears to put a lot of stock into how long ago a domain was registered.
For marketers, this means that you may look to purchase older domains if you want to get on good position in Bing.

Google does not like URLs where the address contains dashes. So, for example www.bannerstands would be OK but www.banner-stands would not.
Bing does not seem to care about the dashes in the domain name, you can see this in the results.

It's all about links, links and more links! Be sure to include the keyword in the anchor text [or clickable text] of your links. And, stick to one link-building method and strive to do at least 50 to 100 links per month using ONLY that method.
