Default Blogging with affiliate programs

I use adsense on my blog, but is it worth also including some affiliate links in my blog, like reviews for example?

Not sure if I should or not, could it drive away my blogs visitors?

What do you think guys.

It depends how you add the affiliate programs. In other words if your blog doesn't have much content, then having ads and adding affiliate links could overdo things.

Personally if your blog has a lot of content, then having ads and affiliate links or reviewing products that contains an affiliate tracking link is fine I think.

Gd luck!

I agree with DaveSpencer, if your blog is rich with contents than you can use affiliate links other wise adsense are enough. Google provides best ads and there are lots of chances that people will click on these links. The click rate of affiliate links is low.. So stick with your adsense ads and don't over populate your blog with so much links.. it will lead a bad impression.

You can definitely add in affiliate links without alienating your audience if you do it organically and with your readers at the top of your mind. Make sure your content is always providing value. Only provide affiliate links for products that you can honestly recommend and that will be of interest to your readers. Share the affiliate links and content in good proportion to one another. And don't forget to have a disclosure policy on your blog so that you are in compliance with FTC rules.

To earn from Adsense one needs to get lot of targeted traffic. Traffic is all you need to earn some good income from your website. And the best place to get lot of targeted traffic are the search engines. You can do some SEO: add lot of useful/fresh/informative content in your site, this will attract natural backlinks and your ranking in SERPs will improve, giving you more and more traffic which will convert into good income.

Do not worry, including affiliate links won't ever drive away your blogs visitors, if you do it "the right way", of course. Moreover it can be an additional source of getting traffic for your site and "remuneration" for your affiliates. See my blog's example for Valentine's Day: e-opportunities4u.blogspot.com/2011/02/business-is-business-that-is-main.html

blog is the most decent and nice way to promote your affiliate program. but to getting the traffic and selling the product to them are two different things. you may have large number of visitors but they may not buy your product. to have a good sale conversion you must build trust in the eyes of your visitors. it can happen only by adding good content or may be latest new related to the niche your have select to promote.
so i can say that quality content with hot news is the key to have a successful affiliate marketing career.

For blog without a specific niche and high traffic adsense is set and forget, if you work in a niche you can get more profit on affiliate links.

Don't think affiliate products if your site is not targeted niche, adsense is good so you increase more traffic.
