I make money online but what is wrong?

Hi,
I'm into affiliate marketing since 3 years and I made peanuts all this time. I made some money but compared with the work I did...
made about $30 -$50 am month but was spending almost everyday time into it. Even lost kinda faith into it

Since past september I found something new that made me some money.
from then till now (6/17/2010) I made about $16.000 READ:not to brag or anything like that, just want to make clear my situation

In total I made about $9.000 advertising (so afteral in 10 months $7.000 for spending nights full of frustration is peanuts as well)

I have days that I have over $400 and low costs advertising, some days there is almost none or nothing and there are costs for adds (CPC)

Because of what I made, I am sure it is possible to make a living as an affiliate but there is a missing link.

I'm sure there are some here that had the same as I had, it would be nice to have some advice. I would like to go to the affiliate convention in Denver but I can not afford it (live in Europe) , I think it would be possible to find some people in the same situation to share some ideas.
This is what I did so far, CPC (main income), twitter(no results), facebook group(no results), blog(no results), articles (very low resulsts), make website, mask/forward sites, friendster(no results), leadimpact (no results)

I hope with some we can share some info to improve all

By the way, just found the forum, think it's a great thing (never came up with the idea to search for an affiliate forum, so all the ones here had this idea faster lol)

Forgot to mention but tried googleadds, almost no results. Maybe I did things not the right way.

The product I promote has hardly any searches on google

Yea, Google adsense really boring and doesnt have good payout too. I had also wasted my 8 months on it. Anyways, your idea of affiliate marketing seems to be nice. I would suggest you to go with it. But be sure to choose profitable niche.

Whoa! I think the problem here is that the content of your site. It must captured the attention in every one's eye and also , it is in the keyword research you've made. Proper keyword = Income!

Man, you are doing a mistake. I suggest you not depend on PPC adwords. It may help in the starting to earn some or as traffic source and mean while you should focus to drive free traffic from search engines. An affiliate should target search traffic. If you only use ppc. It is almost like gambling ..you see some money or you loss money on bids. Learn SEO optimize your website with unique content. Then you will see money soon or later but this is perfect way that an affiliate should follow.

I agree with meditation getting your own site and then optimizing it through SEO and putting some unique content there will help you .

I guess I have good content and keywords.
have different sites, some are forwarded with mask, some have frames with the affiliate links
some stand alone with content and/or banner/links
I can't get more then 10 visitors a day there. am indexed in yahoo. have no more ideas how to optimize them

so far only ppc has worked for me but like its said, some days I make money, some days I don't . some days nothing happens because bid is too low etc...

I realy would like to know where I do things wrong

Hello,

I would say that, Google Adsense take a long time to pay you a good amount, so you need patience to get money from google, so if you want to earn money little faster, Affiliates are the best to promote.

Am not doing googlesense only googleadds to promote.
I only do affiliate.

About my keywords, I have good keywords and good content but it seems not to work well.

Have quite good possition in Yahoo but only get 4-10 visitors a day from that

If you really want to earn money, just try to make some reviews on the steps that you're making, be wise, learn trough your mistakes and always value your time.

Nothing to worry in joining with affiliate programs. The most important things that you do is don't stick on one technique that you are doing right now. always explore and feel free to engage with new techniques that you find in Google.

I hate when for some of my blogs I have lots of "clickers" on affiliate banners/links and with 0 sales. Just hate this!

u can get good result by google adsense or by seo.....
u are right man but u can get most of by SEO.......

I would suggest you think about changing your niche. For example, depending on what niche you're in, somebody can put in the same amount of work as you and make about 10 times as much.

Hi,finchance,I think the mistake located in your website and your way of earning money ,you can't just do PPC,that can't pay much for you!

As a smart people,you could try some affiliate program that working in attracting traffic to them,you can get commission,if you do drive more persons to their website,you can get more.
