Default Residual Income Affiliate Programs

What are some good niches for generating residual income outside of the poker/gaming/gambling and forex markets? I have had limited success with forex while earning my living from poker affiliate programs with added income coming from other gaming and gambling programs for the past few years. Is there anything else out there that would compare with these for potential residual income?

I don't know the value a good forex trader can generate for an affiliate per month (haven't gotten one to date) but have had poker players who generate over $1,000. per month for me in commissions. Is there anything else affiliates can market that can be as profitable?

What about longevity which is just as important for generating residual income. What other types of programs are available where people stick around the longest. I would think web hosting would be one of those but that's a very diluted and cut throat business. Any opinions!

How do poker players generate $1000 per month. I've never heard of this niche. Can you tell me more about it?

Yes, forex and web hosting have very good residual potential. Health and beauty industry is also great for earning residual income because people need to buy these products regularly.

Web hosting is long term since people do not change it so often.

Yes, and another good thing about web hosting niche is that it may be very difficult to move your website to another web hosting provider. Many small companies have no idea how to move the domain and even experienced users may have problems when moving websites written in PHP because different hosts have different PHP settings and the website may stop working.

For this reason people think twice before they change their web host.

Must admit, web hosting is probably one of the best. I believe this because when you chose a web host, you need to chose a good one first time as you don't really want to keep changing hosts as it will normally affect your website doing this.

So some customers may be hosting their site with the same web hosting for many years, this translates into a residual monthly income for you.

Well with poker affiliate programs you usually have 2 choices on signup. CPA (cost per acquisition) or residual. I always take residual. In poker every game or hand the players play in they pay a small 'rake' which is fee that is taken out of the pot. This is how the poker rooms make their money. As an affiliate I get a percentage of this rake my linked players pay. If they are playing muliple rooms at a time and is a good player so plays lots my income from 1 player can be over $1,000. a month.

For most it's way less. Just depends on how good they are. But poker players are rarely a, play for a day or two and quit, type of people. They usually play a fair bit and fairly often. Which is good for me.

There are even 2 sites out there that I know of where you can earn commissions from players who joined for free and never even deposited. Those are tough to find, but there are some out there. And if someone who joined for free can end up making me a couple hundred per month, in my books that's a great deal.

The reason for this thread is I was just trying to find out if there was anything else out there that could generate the same type of earnings. And the one other thing I left off was google adsense. It is another good revenue source if you have enough traffic.
