Default Can affiliate earning be hi-jacked?

I have heard in a few place that is is possible for dishonest people to change your affiliate id to theirs and re-direct people who sign up through banners so they get credit. I check mine daily and have not had a problem but wanted to know from people here if this is something that can happen since you guys are the most knowledgeable.

I haven't had an issue with this either, but, I have wondered the same thing. I have heard of this using clickbank long ago, but haven't seen anything lately.

Yes, I think it happens with many affiliates, However, I also haven't faced this problem but it could be big problem and can happen with anyone.
