Default my earnings with linkshare

I have found over the years that I have enjoyed being with linkshare. I remember signing up when they first started the program.

Still to this day, I like promoting their merchants because they have tried and true products that I can make some money in specific niches. The categories that really work for me are jewelry, clothing, pets and gifts.

The other thing I have always likes about them is they pay you a little finder's fee for sending on new new sign ups.

I have never had a late check either - which is important.

Default Thanks!

I had forgotten about linkshare as it's been quite awhile since I looked into their program - I do remember it working pretty well though, so I'll have to check it out again as I'm always looking for new programs to add value to my sites.

AffiliateSeeking will become famous soon enough
You signed up when they first started. I signed up about 1 year after I started this internet stuff and made my first site. That was when I was quite advanced in html, but still learning new html stuff every day.

Since then I have made some money from it, but I have found that they have sent me sometimes about 2 - 5 checks in a 2 week period instead of one large check. I don't see the point in sending individual checks when I should have received one larger check instead in a 1 month period. Although saying that, I still promote them as I do like their merchants.

Default Link share or private?

you mentioned in a May 2007 post that you use Linkshare to promote pet products. I own a gourmet dog bakery and want to start an affilate program, however i can't decided which method is best....go with a network like linkshare or buy software and do everything in house. As a marketer, would you consider an affilate program with a company direct? or do you only like to use networks and why?

I run programs with networks because it is easy to find merchants right away. BUT, I do use many direct programs. If I am looking for a particular product, I will go through a direct program if it has the right commission and the product I need. Also, I find that with direct programs, not as many people are using them so the market is bigger for an individual affiliate.

I usually go small in the beginning with a direct program to make sure I get paid and then when I know they are legit, I integrate more products.
