Default Amazon affiliate program

Is anyone making money off this? I have it set up as on option on one of my sites, and as it is a cancer treatment site it only advertises books that have to do with cancer treatments. I have still ye to make a sale with it, but I haven't exactly pushed much traffic to the site. Anyone using Amazon and making money with it?

Yes i am and have been doing for a while. Amazon is something that succeeds because everyone is willing to buy off them. Already 1 in every 6 people have bought off Amazon. So your not luring in just risk takers but ordinary people. A bigger market, thus more success.

They have a great brand name behind them but it seems to me people just aren't buying books anymore like they used to. Maybe it's because the torrent sites are also taking a bite out of the print market. I have noticed entire books also available for download off the torrent sites. it is amazing what you can get for free anymore if you just know where to look.

I use amazons affiliate program whenever I review a product on my blog that is found on amazon.com, I dont get too many conversions but its ontop of my other ads so its worth it.

When amazon first started years and years ago, I did well with their selection of wedding related books. I sold books everyday and was quite happy.

But then over the years, nothing happened so basically I stopped running amazon all together. Not sure why the sales stopped because I had more traffic than before but anyway because of this I won't waste my time placing their ads now.

I have set up the amazon store on one of my sites and have made about $0.16 in 5months im not pushin this site anymore and i did no effort on it.

So i guess that shows with effort and time you can make it work and generate good profits, the benefit is also that you dont have to do anything. ie deal with payments, shipping etc.

I wanted to set up a store on Amazon myself. People I know adviced me against it. They said it wouldn't fetch much. Now you confirm that by saying you got 0.16...

I'm staying away from this one for now until someone tells me they make $16K in 5 months.
