The compensation plans associated with affiliate programs are so desirable because the business owner can have a number of affiliates and they only have to pay these affiliates if the advertising on the affiliate’s website is effective.

Affiliate marketing does not always work. When seeking out affiliates it is important to look for a number of different factors. An affiliate with a great deal of experience, a website with high traffic and a proven track record for producing positive results will likely be a good choice for an affiliate marketing program. This amount may a flat fee or a percentage of the sale depending on the affiliate agreement.

Thank you for the great article. I completely agree with you. Everyone who wants his business to grow should consider affiliate marketing. Everybody should think Big. It is always better to make 1000 sales via your affiliates and pay them good commissions, than to make 10 sales yourself using free advertising and keep all the money

Also agree here with you-not only that you can have marketers that make plenty of money even as a part time-job, but as a business that has an affiliate program you get to see your brand listed everywhere you search for the keywords that you have an interest in : ppc campaigns, blogs, forums, etc.

thanks durga for, for lack of better term, awesome article. i am a newbie and i now totally understand all about it. i am planning to venture into selling products by directly chatting people on line and receive commision out of it. i can do it by hiring people to chat for me and give them commissions also. i ahve done it already with one site but the problem is i do not know ho to have a website or software that can track sales. i have it wiht my old website that i am promoting but that was given free to me from the website. i cannot use it with another sites that i will be promoting/affiliating. please if you or anyone can help me or interested to my technique of affiliating and promoting products/servies, please pm me.

It is obviously a wise idea to get into affiliate marketing because it is harmless .They sell they get commission they don't they won't. So loosing money unnecessary is less of a chance in here . Also the idea that getting affiliates from same industry or linked industry selling non competing product is pretty good as you get your target audience clicking right onto your site and conversions are surely high .

i agree with you here. Using affiliate marketing to promote your business is a bit expensive. But you can also expect some good outputs from the same. Definitely for a small business it could be on a expensive side.
