1. find niche market/product and find keywords (use Google keyword research tool)
2. build landing page using keywords
3. include adsense on site
4. write articles using keywords and submit to free article directories (top 5 say)
5. get traffic to your site by optimizing content for search engines (SEO) above will help with this
6. test your efforts (use Google Analytics which is free to see where traffic is coming from)
7. rinse & repeat

The best way is to give time so that the program can perform and you can get some out put. I would say give atleast a 1 -2 month's time with constant and regular work.
