Google + 1 ??

My friend send me a invite for Google + 1 but I am not interested in joining it now..
The reason I thought, I don't know how it works, I don't know what will be its impact on my SEO, I don't know what's +1's future..

So without knowing anything how should i joined it. Is it the right thing I have done?

Because my experience says if you know and have knowledge about the particular method then only you should take part..

What do you guys think about, Google + 1? How many of you have join?

I wish to try it. They say it is the next Facebook. I don't buy it but with Facebook doing all the upgrades (video messaging) these days then it should be something big. Even Mark Zuckerberg has a +1 account and even more friends than the Google founders.
