just noticed a HUGE disadvantage to using referrals

I had referrals in my account for so long and did nothing about it. Since everyone is talking about it, I decided to give it a try.

So I spent some lengthy time earlier in the week setting up my products and keywords, customizing my code, etc.

Today I look at my site and basically it is serving me trash. So I log into my account and find that the advertisers are no longer advertising.

There about 20 -30 of my products when I set up the other day - now there is only one and I wouldn't advertise their site.

This is really frustrating to have spent so much time and effort for no return. At least with an affiliate program, you can get paid down the road.

Plus how do I know how long, the ads have been serving non-targetted stuff to my users

Are you talking about the new google referall program? Since it just launched itll take a month or two for it to stabilise.

What do you mean by stabilise? The problem is the advertisers will come and go and when they go, the site is left with junk.

Do you mean that in a month, more advertisers will come along??

I mean right now everyone with anything to sell is trying it out. After a while youll have a lot less of the fly-by night advertisers. As more big companies learn about it Im sure youll see more name brand stuff.

That makes sense, actually. I wish I had thought of that myself before I did all the work - lol

Well, anyway, I tried temporarily. I will go back to my affiliate products and then in a few months time maybe look at it again.

Wait it out, don't take the code of your pages, let them just advertise for the time beening, and then go go go! you will get more and mroe money each day from RF
