Default Increasing Your Adsense Income....

This experiment is being down by a friend of mine , I thought to write it down to help my forum members.

It is something I would say Hit & Trail Method.

The experiment goes something like this.

Let say you have a 250×250 ad unit on your blog and it serves both image (rich media) and text ads. The ad unit is enabled for placement targeting so an advertiser can easily target it for display campaigns through Google AdWords.

Now let’s assume that the average CPM for this ad unit, according to Google AdSense reports, is $5.

To get higher CPM ads, create a simple rule to blocks Google ads from showing up unless their CPM is $6 or more. If the CPM is lower, one of these in-house ads will be displayed to the visitor instead of the AdSense ad.

I think this will help in pushing-up the CPMs for that unit. Why?
Because the Google ad now has to compete with an external ad in order to show up on the site and thus it raises its own CPM to outbid your in-house ad.

CPM stands for "cost per 1000 impressions." Advertisers running CPM ads set their desired price per 1000 ads served and pay each time their ad appears.

As a publisher, you'll earn revenue each time a CPM ad is served to your page and viewed by a user. CPM ads compete against cost per click (CPC) ads in our ad auction, and we'll display whichever ad is expected to earn more revenue for you.
