Default Money for impressions?

Hey all!

I've recieved some money in my adsense account without any clicks. Do total impressions count towards money? I recieved no clicks but had a eCPM of about .3 $

Thanks!
Beefpuff

Google Adsenes pays on a CPC and CPM basis. The amount of CPM ads that get shown depends on how many advertisers directly select your site to advertise on. The amount you earn eCPM also depends on how much they want to spend on your advertising space.

I suppose impressions you get from autosurf programs and even manual surf programs are not counted. Otherwise it would be easy to generate impressions for your site.

Yes, we do get paid sometimes on CPM basis but that isnt enough. Mostly we earn from clicks only. The ads that pay for impressions are the SITE TARGETTED ADS mostly. I have seen in advanced reports that SITE ads pay via impressions. You will also find this information written if you search in google adsense help section.

Oh damn!
I never knew that part ^^. Thanks a lot webby. I just checked into my adsense account and I found that I daily get some money from impressions
So if our websites receive tons of impressions, we will earn a lot?

Not really.

The site targetted ads are advertised and limited to certain number of impressions which when gets over they are no longer advertised during that day. Moreover they are actually displayed at a lot of websites rather just yours. So, it all depends on the advertisers. Sometimes site targetted ads harms and needs to be shut down to avoid less $$.

But you do get paid per impression if you have chosen to show images. If you only show text, you don't get paid for impressions. I get most my cash from impressions. Seems like my visitors doesn't like to click the ads or something.

But one thing is for sure. You get paid for the impressions you have too. Not only the clicks.

Monkeygoal you do get paid for impressions as you say, but it's not just for showing image ads. You get paid impressions on text ads aswell. If you notice them large text sized ads where there is only one ad in an ad block that normally has quite a few then that means it is a paid for impression ad.
