Adsense - increasing traffic without reducing cpc

My website pays a high amount per click with adsense. I want to increase the traffic to that site (apart from traditional search engines that command as a majority of the traffic), but I am doubtful of reducing the amount I get paid per click that is likely to occur in various cases because of over pricing.

Does anyone have any ideas on the best way to go about this or know which the best sources of traffic are?

Don't go for crap traffic. Keep away from things like Get Paid to surf sites, don't buy traffic in packages that claim you can get 30,000 visitors for $5.99 and stuff. Aim to get the traffic via doing your own advertising and wisely selected the places to put your ads or links.

That's the best thing I can think of about a situation like this.
