It is still a workable idea, but make sure you don't post any type of affiliate links in your bulletins or your page will get deleted with a quickness. I know that is one of the methods Myspace is using to crack down on spammers. 500 friends is definitely not going to bring you much traffic...you would need in the neighborhood of 10,000 or more to get any type of decent response, and even then many people have given up on Myspace due to all of the webcam *****s spam.
