May as well learn php 5 so you can get an idea of how scripting works, when php 6 comes out, then learn the new php functions and stuff.

I can't see everything in php 6 changing or I would have to change all my scripting on everything and that includes every site on the web nearly that uses php, unless they keep their servers with php 5.
