I have been trying to read up on this topic called "parasite hosting". From what I gather and I could be wrong, which is why I started the discussion, but apparently people find a way to piggy back off of edu sites and legit high ranking sites.

Somehow they manage to infiltrate the high ranking site to get themselves quality back links.

I really couldn't understand the whole concept, partly because I don't know how they get themselves a link without the domain owner knowing about it.

They say it is popular with university sites. To get themselves attached to the univ site, that is.

Anyone had experience with this? Can anyone explain it in a little more detail?
