I use CSS and html tables. When I started learning html just over 6 years ago, that is the way I learn't. Unfortunately I learn't it straight from the web at my own speed so I had no one next to me telling me what is right or what is wrong. I had to learn all the rights and wrongs from forums. I used htmlgoodies to start learning html and tables and that is how I got into using them and thought that was the way.

I still use tables, but also use quite a bit of css. I heard that using tables takes longer for a page to load as it has to read it twice. It has to read it once so that it can get the tables layout stucture and then again to actually show the information with the design.
