checklist for word press
I have spent the last couple days researching and installing plugins to my word press blog. I went through the site and made of list of everything that would make my blog better. From now on, I will use this list as a checklist to make sure each and every one of my sites using any CMS has these issues covered.
A couple of the things so far :
"add meta tags" - this allows you to have a proper description in the search engines for the home page, the categories and the posts
"sitemap generator" - there are 2 plugins here
- one is for the xml sitemap for google and the other is the sitemap or directory for your website
"akismet" - another member here suggested this to me to help with my spam problems
"advertisement plugins" - I am still testing which I like best
- but this is helpful so you don't have to hard code your pages with ads nor do you need to insert the ads every time you write a post.
These suggestions are just a few things to help me as a beginner blogger - hope you will get some use from this, too.
