Website Optimization Made Simple for Beginners

Beginners might have heard about website optimization but not all of them really know what it really is and how it is done in an appropriate manner as well. First basic thing that you should know is that Google really likes sites that are optimized. There are certain steps that beginners can take in order to make sure their website does not ends up somewhere where no one can find it. An important factor of website optimization is the right use of keywords throughout the website. Mostly beginners try to act smart and fill their sites up with keywords; over-doing keywords would get you in trouble and even can get your site banned as well.

Remember, that if your site gets banned due to any cleverness that you did then you might end up spending months and even years trying to recover from the ban; in such cases, people need to start things over from the very beginning once again.

Make sure that the keywords you are using on your site are highly relevant to the content your site is offering. Try and get the phrases or keywords as targeted as possible; this would make sure that if someone searches out for those keywords or phrases, your site would be one of the leading ones in the search results. You should also go over Google preferences once and make sure that your keyword usage is not exceeding the limit. Overloading a site with keywords means spamming and I am sure you would not want to be called a spammer. Usually, beginners are unaware of this fact and in order to gain more attention they commit this mistake.

Not only you should avoid over-doing the keywords but also use the limited ones appropriately. You should think as if you are a visitor as well, see whether the appearance of your website and the posted content is eye catching or not. Mostly, visitors felt over whelmed and turned off when there is a jumble of keyword phrases. In order to avoid your site going lower in rank due to customer dissatisfaction; avoid this mistake. I should also get you aware of another thing; search engines are smarter then you possibly think. Never ever try to hide your keywords somewhere where they are not visible, search engines are smart enough to find them and ban you right away.
